AFSS is a local explosion detection and suppression system capable of detecting and suppressing explosive fires in less than 250 milliseconds. Used to locally protect people nearby equipment which may cause explosive fires such as JP5 pumps, purifiers, diesel engines, it uses highly immune false alarm triple infrared sensors combined with programmable Control Electronics and High Rate Discharge solenoid valves with full diagnostic capability. RS485 interface bus to DCS enable a complete monitoring and control as an addressable FDS. Qualified to MIL Standard and UE directive for Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive.
