Cruise > DCS (Damage Control System)

The DCS is an integrated control and monitoring system able to interface all the safety systems on board, from complex ones to simple sensors and actuators. Its primary function is to support operators in all phases of ship safety management, particularly during emergency situations.
The general hardware architecture scheme for a DCS system is given in the following figure:

Main features:

  • Remote monitoring and control of all safety equipment and subsystems
  • Distributed system with several operator workstations, having priority access control
  • Integration of all the safety information inside a single Human Machine Interface
  • Support to emergency management
  • Vector based representation of Ship General arrangement plan
  • Pan and Zoom capabilities across
  • Up to 15 zones shown simultaneously
