DCS  is an integrated monitoring and control system dedicated to the on board safety. It communicates with all safety sub-systems in order to:

• show the operator the status of all monitored elements (fire detectors, fire doors, fans, dampers, etc..) by means of a dedicated man machine interface including ship general arrangement plans, P&ID of the involved plants etc.;
• detect alarms and notify them to the user;
• handle safety strategies in a coordinated way.

DCS Man Machine Interface is designed according to the highest graphical and ergonomic standards to provide to the safety officers, during emergency events, a user friendly
tool.
